Adaptation (2002) is one of the best screenplays ever written and Spike Jonzes superb direction only added to what is now a classic. Charlie Kaufman will hopefully go down in cinema history as one of the greatest writers ever to live. Nicholas Cage was great as both Charlie and Donald Kaufman and Chris Cooper absolutely deserved his oscar for this film, and if you round all those characters out with a great performance by Meryl Streep you get the #7th best movie of the decade.
